GAIA-X 4 AGEDA

Project Overview

In the GAIA-X4AGEDA project, requirements and applications of GAIA-X in the edge device automobile are considered. The aim of the project is to develop a software architecture in the vehicle as an edge device that implements the concepts of the GAIA-X initiative and thus "by-design" data-driven applications and the dynamic adaptation of a vehicle with its functions over the entire life cycle of the vehicle vehicle allows. The project considers and implements use cases in which added value for vehicle manufacturers, vehicle users and the mobility system as a whole is created through the networking of the vehicle, but also in particular through the use of safety-critical data from the vehicle and the use of data external to the vehicle for safety-critical functions. The vehicle architecture to be developed in the project will natively support the networking of all vehicle functions with cloud-based services. It will make it possible to implement additional completely new applications even after a vehicle has been delivered, enabling the vehicle to be dynamically adapted to new circumstances and thus making a decisive contribution to the rapid implementation of the mobility revolution. The core innovations of GAIA-X4AGEDA will be a reference implementation of a novel vehicle architecture including example implementations of networked mobility applications, which will be publicly demonstrated at a closing event.
